This week has been a busy one for the Review. Tuesday 31 January saw the closing date for feedback on the Review following the report publication in December. The interest in the Review is encouraging. Many thanks to all those who have submitted comments. We will respond in due course.
We also celebrated the launch of the Review at a productive event with over 120 sector representatives on Thursday, 2 Feb. This signifies the formal launch of the Review implementation phase. We look forward to your involvement over the coming months as we see what actions are needed to bring the Review recommendations to life.
|Launch Event: 2nd Feb 2017|
|Yesterday, 2 Feb, the launch event for the Each Home Counts Review was held at Church House, Westminster. The Review team would like to thank everyone who attended.
The event began with a series of presentations including from Jon Booth, BEIS; Peter Bonfield, chair of the Review; Stephen Huller, lead on the finance workstream; and Alison Oliver, Review team. Councillor Julian German from Cornwall Council also announced a pilot to test the implementation of the Review recommendations. Another pilot is being carried out by EON at a site in Preston.
There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm at the event as discussions then focussed on the next steps of the implementation phase. Implementation Board members were there to speak about strands of work going forward and how everyone can get involved. Many thanks to all those attending that have signed up to the various workstreams. For those who were unable to attend and would like to be involved in the workstreams please let us know by getting in contact at [email protected].
There will be activity under the workstreams over the coming months as each works towards developing detailed implementation plans.
