‘Each Home Counts Review’ Newsletter

The Review team is finalising the Reports industry chapters and ensuring the proposed recommendations flow seamlessly throughout the full Report.

The Review team are starting to think ahead to a possible launch for the Review publication, pulling together a launch plan.

We plan to publish the Review report as soon as we can and will keep you informed regarding when that will be.  We appreciate your continued patience in the meantime.

Implementation Board
On Wednesday 2nd November 2016 the Review team held its eighth Implementation Board, chaired by Peter Bonfield. The Board held discussions around the following topics:

  • an update on Ministerial engagement
  • key messages about the Review
  • a launch plan
  • further detailing of the Review’s framework and
  • a presentation on the good progress made at the recent workshop on the proposed Information hub / Data warehouse
Home Energy Technology workstream: Update
Home Energy Technology workstream (HET)

In last week’s addition of our newsletter dated 28th October, we stated that the HET workstream were planning to meet on the Tuesday 6th December 2016 and a joint meeting between HET and BSI task group was planned for January 2017.

Please note:

The HET workstream  and BSI retrofit task group will  now meet on Wednesday 11th January 2017 to:

·       review the proposed recommendations from the Review, and to

·       discuss how best these can be implemented across the wide scope of technologies covered by the energy efficiency and renewable energy industry and

·       to take forward the codes of practice recommendation under the Review


This week…. Next week…..
·       On Tuesday 1st November 2016 Ben Golding and Pam Wynne from the Review team, along with colleagues from BEIS went on a planned visit to BBA and BRE.

·       Peter Bonfield will be meeting with BEIS Ministers on Tuesday 8th November 2016 to present the EHC Review report.
