|‘Each Home Counts Review’

This week the Review team have been working to bring the new BEIS Ministers up to speed with the Review and to get their views whilst working to complete the report and build its implementation plan.
We plan to publish the Review report as soon as we can and will keep you informed regarding when that will be. We appreciate your continued patience in the meantime.
|The eighth Implementation Board meeting was held on Thursday 1st September chaired by Peter Bonfield. Peter introduced financier, Stephen Huller, LASER UK and Peter Rickaby, BSI task group to the Implementation Board.
The meeting started with an update on the Review report and its progress through BEIS. The rest of the meeting was spent on working on and progressing the key elements of the proposed Quality Mark. This included working on:
· Consumer Charter
· Code of Conduct
· Codes of Practice
· Information Hub
Some of the key elements included:
· Scope definition and terminology
· Interconnection between each element
· Consideration of barriers to entry and compliance routes
· Underpinning standards for operation and reporting
· Lessons learned from existing approaches
· Some detailed discussion on the Information Hub
BSI gave an update on the retrofits standards task group and the work they are carrying out on research and gap analysis, to develop a roadmap of standard needs (i.e. overarching framework and code of practice and related standard). PAS 2030 integrates into the work of the retrofit standards task group
