Each Home Counts Newsletter 23 December 2015

Dear Colleague

Happy holidays to one and all, in the run up to Christmas it has been a very busy and productive period for us at the Bonfield Review! We have appreciated your patience during this time and we wanted to share some information on what we have been up to.

Since our previous communication we have started our ‘set up and do’ phase.  We have been focusing on holding initial workshops for each of the five core work streams:  Advice and Guidance, Quality and Standards, Compliance and Enforcement; Skills and Training and Consumer Protection; and the three cross cutting work streams: Insulation, Smart Meters and Renewables.  We have been making fantastic progress.

We have industry leads allocated for many of the work streams now – with huge thanks to all of them for their superb and continued efforts.  We have also had several work stream workshops in recent weeks with more to come in the New Year (see table below!).  Many thanks to all of you who have input into our recent workshops – your contributions have been really valued.  If you would like to get involved in the work streams then there will be plenty of opportunity going forward in the New Year.  Let us know!

The following table shows the work stream workshops and industry leads.

Thank you to all of you for all your interest, enthusiasm and support with the Review and what we are trying to achieve.  We look forward to working with you further in the New Year to build on our progress to date and create a sustainable future for energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Finally, as the review continues to build momentum we will be sending further email updates.  Look out for these early next year when we will be providing more detailed communications on workstream progress.  Your input to the Review is vital and still required, so please continue to send your thoughts, ideas and research to BonfieldReview@decc.gsi.gov.uk

Again, Merry Christmas to all and a happy and prosperous New Year.
