Each Home Counts Newsletter 20 January 2017

Hello!

The Review team are now in implementation mode and are arranging several stakeholder events for February and April 2017.

We plan to hold the first event on 2 February, to launch the Review and start establishing working groups to deliver aspects of the plan.

We are aware many of you would like to attend.  As we will be restricted by venue space please look out for the invites if you would like to come along to secure one of the available places.

Following publication of the report, if you would like to provide feedback on the Review and its recommendations please send your comments to eachhomecountsreport@beis.gov.uk mailbox by 31st January 2017.

Finance and Insurance Workstream
The next Implementation workstream for finance and insurance was held at the AON Building, Leadenhall Street, on the 19th January.

Stephen Huller, the Chair of the Group, updated the attendees on the implementation timelines and it was agreed that the plans were sensible and achievable.

On the 12th January, Group members, Tim Wheeldon of Fluent Money & the Groups Chair, met with a number of secured lenders in London. They outlined the detail within the recommendations and the implementation timetable of the EHC Review.

Feedback was positive, further supporting the Finance & Insurance Group’s opinion, that the developing market model is one which will attract funding.

Over the coming weeks the Group will continue to engage with funding partners.

If you would like further information regarding this group, please get in touch through the BonfieldReview@beis.gov.uk email account.

Insulation/Fabric workstream
Following the Review publication, the Fabric workstream will be getting together to discuss the Review recommendations and next steps for the group.  It has been quite some time since the group met and so a general catch up on the current state of the nation is needed.

The key topics for discussion will be:

·       Drafting actions needed to implement the recommendations;

·       Identifying working parties to support the actions we need to take forward; and

·       Preparing some technical responses whilst other workstreams develop the governance and constitutional framework.

This week…. Next week…..
·       Finance & Insurance workstream met on Friday 19th January to discuss the Review implementation timelines.

·       Alison met with the Competent Persons Forum on Friday 21st to discuss the Review recommendations and implementation.
